First Dog show of the year!

Last Friday we loaded up the camper and headed out to our first agility trial of 2008.
The dogs were as eager as we were to be off and hopped in their crates gladly.

We arrived and found a lovely spot to park the camper and a ring side site for our tent then relaxed for the evening with a nice dinner and turned in early.

The weather was gorgeous all weekend, lots of sunshine, blue sky and warm with a nice breeze. We hit the low 80's on Saturday.

Normally we travel with a group of friends and several of our students usually compete at the same show so it is pretty busy for us. But this weekend it was just Scott, me and our friend and partner Christie so it was very relaxing. We had lots of time to chat, laugh and enjoy seeing all the other exhibitors after a long winter.

The dogs ran beautifully. Beta, qualified in 2 of her runs taking 4th place in the 16 inch group of the Grand Prix and qualified in Master Snooker. Jackaroo had fantastic runs though did not manage to qualify but he is always a raving maniac at the first show of the season so I count that as a great start.

I had planned to take lots of pictures and videos to load here but we had a few technical difficulties and the plague revisited me resulting in a loss of motivation. Not to worry there will be many more shows. We are just happy to be out there again enjoying our dogs.

The next show is May 3rd & 4th so stay tuned.
