They Did It!!
Well, I am very late rejoicing the Pat's win but rest assured, I am smiling from ear to ear. What a game! We were on the edge of our seats the entire time, but they pulled it out. I have huge respect for the Giants, they really came out playing hard. I for one enjoy that though neither team had to win to achieve a play-off berth, they still played as though it was an important game. Of course the Pat's broke a bunch of records with this game so that was important to them. Just a few of those records, the most points a team ever scored in regular season. Randy Moss broke Jerry Rice's record for most TD passes caught in one season, ending with a record of 23. Tom Brady broke Payton Manning's record for most TD passes in one season with his 50th pass. Just unbelievable! I could go on and on!
Lots of other players were instrumental in this season too. Wes Welker was unbelievable all season and Stephen Gostkowski has admirably filled Adam Vinateria's shoes as kicker! I can't forget the defense, Assante Samuel, Ellis Hobbs and Rodney Harrison were stellar all season as well, and Tedi Bruschi, well he is always fabulous.
Now we look forward to the play-off season. It's sure to be a rocking time.
I can't wait to see where this takes us. Hopefully right to the Super Bowl! GO PATS!

Football
I am unabashedly an avid fan of football. I am sitting tensely next to my husband as we watch our New England Patriots battle the New York Giants in the last game of the regular season. When they win tonight they will be the first team to ever go 16-0 in the history of the game. http://www.patriots.com/homepage So tense may be an understatement.
But the Giants are not rolling over and letting the Pats run over them, they're making a game of it. So Scott and I are intermittently cheering, groaning and yelling at the TV. I have to admit I don't always understand the strategies and I do have trouble seeing the blitz until it's actually happening. But I love the non-stop action, the raw emotion the players exhibit and I always love the come from behind wins. Though I wish these guys were not making us experience the come from behind game tonight.
This team is phenomenal this year, breaking records repeatedly all season. Every week is exciting and the last few have been real nail biters as tonight is.
So we are perched on the edge of the couch with our fingers crossed, breathlessly waiting for the outcome. I hope to be back later cheering their hard fought win. In the meantime, I have hardly any nails left!

Killing Time
My sister's blog today encourages us to waste a little time during this busy holiday season and since she is much older and so she says wiser than I, I'm wastin' time!

Snow Country!
Well its been quite a day this snowy Sunday.
The weather people have been forecasting a Nor'easter all week and they didn't lie!
We got about 8 more inches today after the 12 inches we got last Thursday so it truly looks like a winter wonderland here in Massachusetts. But its winter... and its nice to have snow for Christmas.
We are in the home stretch now with all the preparations for Christmas.
Next Saturday we will hold our annual Christmas Open House. Its sure to be its usual festive affair, all our crazy dog owning friends will be coming. This will wrap up our competition year and we will be celebrating quite a few new titles. (As soon as I get a few extra minutes I will post our dog's statistics and will keep it updated as we progress.)
We will spend next Sunday celebrating with Scott's family and then have a quiet Christmas day at home with the dogs. That will be nice.
Tomorrow I will post a few lovely winter and amusing pics of the dogs snow diving. Its the favortie winter sport here at the Hinckley Homestead.
