New Yard Meme

I love this tree. It's a Tulip Poplar. I was looking at it a couple days ago and thinking how much I enjoy it. Every season it does something wonderful and I love to watch the changes throughout the year. So I decided to share ir with you my bloggy friends.

Here it is in spring just as the leaves begin to open.

My plan is to re-take these pictures each month throughout the next year. Just to share with y'all the changes of my favorite plant in my yard.

Endicott is best known for the speedie fest, during which the local hicks, get drunk, and consume large amounts of food the form of speedies which are skewered meat not unlike a shish-kabob. My hometown is this hole named Endicott, you've probably never heard of it but it's an hour south of Syracuse.

(Jeez, glad I was only born in Endicott and grew up in Owego the coolest small town in America!!! Although speedies are wonderful!! I am making those soon.)

A wonderful month when the air smells sweet and the weather is perfect for the girls where to tight little sweaters that show off their curves.

Front Door/Back Door Meme - February

My Friend C-Lee tagged me for this month's Front door Back door meme so, here's how we are looking in Massachusetts these days.

Front Yard Backyard Meme & Ice!

It has been quite a week. Last Friday we woke up here in Central Massachusetts to a world of ice and no power. I was reminded of Narnia except we really only had a touch of snow but most of our world was encased in ice.

We were very lucky just some minor tree damage and only one tree fell into our fence instead of on it. but we were without power from Friday at 2:00 AM to Tuesday at 3:30 PM. That was way too long but again we are lucky. There are many who still don't have power and won't until Christmas or after, because of downed trees like this one. It is amazing to see what ice can do to our modern convenience filled lives. I came to the conclusion that I am way too spoiled but really I am ok with that.

There is so much more to tell about this week and I took lots of pictures but thankfully we are able to have our annual Christmas Open House today so I need to get going to finish preparations. Front door, Back door meme

Wow I am so late getting out here but look at the difference in my yard!Here is the back yard on April 16th.

Not tagged but doin it anyway

I like this one, my sister Dlyn (go look at her gorgeous photos) did this one and invited whoever to steal it so I did.

How long have you been together?
We will be married 23 years in July but I think we have been together for 26 years. It's sort of sketchy, we partied a lot back then.

How old is he?
He is 49 and 1 year younger than me and he never lets me forget I am sooooo much older than him.

Who said ‘I love you’ first?
I did and I was in a panic because he was not known as the marring type and I wanted to marry him! He surprised me by saying he loved me too.

Who is taller?
Scott's taller by about 4 inches.

Who is smarter?
He is way smarter than me in most things but we balance each other out because I am more creative. Scott can perform most math at the drop of a hat in his head, really a walking calculator. Comes in very handy since I have no math skills.

Who does the laundry?
We both do laundry, he is really good about helping out with that. It took a little time to get him to read labels so things didn't shrink or turn colors but I explained when stuff gets ruined I have to go shopping. That spurred him on to read ALL labels.

Who does the dishes?
We both do, I usually cook if we are home the same nights and he cleans up. Works out nicely.

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed?
Scott.

Who pays the bills?
We have a few different accounts, the dog account and household account are mine to manage and he manages the mortgage, utility stuff. He is also president of our dog training school so he pays those bill and payroll etc.

Who mows the lawn?
Scott mows most of the time unless I have a hankering to ride the tractor. Our yard is huge. I tend the flower beds, veggie garden and beautification projects.

Who cooks dinner?
Mostly me since I really only work 3 days a week it seems unfair to expect him to cook after working all day. He is a good cook though and a super grill master.

Who proposed?
He is so romantic; after we lived together for 2 years he said "well I supposed we should get married." I said YES!

Who is more sensitive?
Oh gosh ME!!!! I am better than I used to be but I emote on a regular basis. He does have a soft heart although he will deny it. He cries at sappy movies especially dog movies when the dog dies. We saw ET on maybe our third date and he cried at the end, that was it for me, I was head over heels.

I'm not gonna tag anyone, this was just fun to do and think about.

Here's my front yard. I actually had a winter scene of this same view a couple months ago.

And the back yard, our first agility show is this coming weekend so I've been practicing in the back yard. That little shed is Scott's workshop, he does all kinds of wonderful projects out there. This is taken from the deck so you can just see the little tiny dogs playing out there.

This will be interesting to do in a month.
